MOUNTAIN BIKING: Logan River Trail

← WY HAMS FORK POLE CREEK NEAR FRONTIER WY Single Tracks →

Description

This starts out as just under 3 miles of doubletrack that is fairly flat and easy riding, and then it turns into singletrack switchbacks for a bit that are pretty fun riding. Nothing to steep, and not too technical, and a blast to come back down. Eventually there is a split off or you can keep going straight and the trail will end fairly quickly, or you can take a branch off to the right that leads up to Bridger Overlook. Then you kind of ride along the mountainside for a bit until it wraps back into a small canyon where it starts getting a lot more steep and technical, and really brutal for one stretch. Right after the most brutal part it wraps back over to the Bridger Overlook - a bunch of switchbacks up loose rocks - looks like a rock slide. Good for a short afternoon ride.

Directions

Heading north on Main St. in Logan, turn right on 400 North, keep going until you enter into the canyon, and about a quarter to half mile up the canyon there will be a parking lot to the right. Alternate parking three miles up the canyon at Second Dam.
